Age appropriate Workshops are conducted by external and in house resource person time to time to make the students ,teachers and support staff aware of relevant rights and responsibilities and of social causes.

In order to inculcate a healthy spirit of competition amongst children and to showcase their enormous talent, the students of Modern Convent School are divided into the following four houses:

1. Ashok House
2. Subhash House
3. Tilak House
4. Tagore House

Each house has a House Captain and Vice Captain chosen through elections conducted every year in the school. The house system in the school promotes the development of qualities such as perseverance, discipline, fair play, sense of responsibility, power of imagination, joy of originality, worth of character, dignity of simplicity, obligation to duty etc. amongst children. Various Inter-house activities and competitions are organized as per the schedule given in the school calendar such as Music, Dance, Debate, Drama, Poetry, Extempore', Recitation, Painting, Rangoli, Quiz, Sports etc.

ASHOK HOUSE

The house owes its name to the Mauryan Emperor, Ashoka, The Great. The colour of the house "yellow" stands for simplicity.

SUBHASH HOUSE

The house owes its name to the famous leader, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. The colour of the house "saffron" stands for sacrifice.

TAGORE HOUSE

 The house owes its name to the great literary personality Rabindra Nath Tagore. The colour of the house "Red" stands for enthusiasm.

TILAK HOUSE

The house owes its name to the famous nationalist leader Bal Gangadhar Tilak. The colour of the house "Green" stands for Prosperity.

The school also has a student council elected by the students comprising of Head Boy, Head Girl, House Captains and Vice Captains along with the class prefects who shoulder the responsibility of maintaining discipline in class rooms, play grounds, corridors, labs etc. While conducting various inter-house co-curricular activities, it inculcates a sense of self discipline and helps in developing leadership skills in these students and helps them in being responsible citizens of tomorrow.

The following activitiy clubs are organize twice a week for Students of Classes IV to VI. Each student chooses two clubs per session .

The School has a large and magnificent state-of-the-art playground which includes a Basket ball Court, Skating Rink, Cricket Nets, Football field, Volley ball court, Lawn Tennis Court and Badminton Courts along with a beautiful Swimming Pool (25 m X 12.5 m). A spacious and well-equipped Sports room with 2 Table Tennis tables, several carom boards, chess boards, gymnastic kits etc., caters for the indoor sports activities of the children.

The sports activities in the school are aimed at providing suitable opportunities and excellent infrastructure to all children in order to improve their physical and mental health. The students can play various games and sports of their choice. The trained and highly motivated sports teachers and coaches help to prepare them for the various competitions organized at the intra-school, inter-school, zonal and state levels.
